Jumping into the fray
I have sat on the blogging sidelines, reading mostly the business blogs of others. Rather than continuing to lurk, I am now adding my voice. The area of expertise for which I’m best known is supplier management and supplier evaluation. I have a long history and experience in the area of lean enterprise and continous improvement. I have been an entrepreneur, having started a software company (Valuedge) and been acquired by another (Emptoris). I learned first-hand about how incredibly challenging it is to start a software company and find the subject of entrepreneurship endlessly fascinating. My most recent project has been writing a business book. I have been the incidental author. I wasn’t looking to write a book, but was asked to after the huge interest generated by one of my speaking engagements at ISM. I will soon have the title “book author” to add to my credentials. Supplier Evaluation and Performance Management: A Guide to Meaningful Metrics and Successful Results will be published by J. Ross Publishing by the end of 2007. And, supply management and performance improvement help is available, should you need it, from Value Chain Group.
I welcome your thoughts, comments, and ideas.
